The Government has discouraged contaminating Sri Lanka Tea with imported low quality teas for export purposes.
The country's maize demand is 180,000 MT per year and during harvesting of the first season a yield of 200, 000 MT have been obtained, the Economic Development Ministry said.

Sri Lanka's tourist arrivals rose 9.0 percent in April this year compared to the same period last year:Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
