| China's cellular M2M connection revenue is expected to grow from $642 million in 2011 to $2.76 billion in 2016, according to ABI Research.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced Tuesday the main business revenue of the nation's telecommunication sector reached 988 billion yuan ($157 billion) in 2011, up 10 percent year-on-year.
The performance of the market is forecast to decelerate, with an anticipated CAGR of 11.3% for the five-year period 2010 – 2015, which is expected to drive the market to a value of $247.2 billion by the end of 2015.
